We are so proud of Andrew

Andrew came home with an announcement from school - he received the honor of being STUDENT OF THE MONTH! This is definitely something to be proud of because only 3 kids each month are chosen from 7th grade. Just alone, he has 90+ kids in his group. Jared and I are so excited and proud of him. A few days later, we received a letter in the mail from the school about Andrew's accomplishment and commented on our parenting and how Andrew is a great student, well rounded and liked by everyone.
WE LOVE YOU ANDREW!!!!

(check out the cool tower he built out of some of my clients magnets. So talented!)

California Trip - Part 4

Okay! This is the last part of our trip.

After we spent the day at the zoo and lunch downtown, we decided to go the beach one more time. I am really happy we did because they next day ended up being a little colder and overcast.
Of course, Jack loved it!
That evening we went to dinner with my Dad, Maria, Uncle Butch, Aunt Sarah and their son Alex. We haven't seen Butch and Sarah since our wedding, so that was a nice treat.
The next day and our last my Dad came up with a great idea to go whale watching. It was a lot of fun. Jack was a trooper.
Overall, our trip was very busy but I wouldn't change one thing (well, maybe more days!). I am so happy we were able to do much and enjoy ourselves at the same time.

I love this picture of Jack.

Daddy giving loves to Jack Jack.

The tide was so low… they were are pretty far out. Jack loved chasing the seagulls.

Jack pointed at everything!

Mommy and Jack Jack enjoying the moment.

Can I say - Future model???

This picture turned out great. I love how blue the sky is.

Had to have one shot with his tummy showing!

Daddy playing with Jack - he got him pretty high up.

My Dad got this bottle of tequila for Christmas, we thought is funny that Jack was just a little taller.

Grandpa and Jack looking for whales.

Here is the tail fin of a whale. It was a mommy and baby together heading back North.

Daddy finally got Jack to sleep!

This whale came so close to the boat - it was awesome.

Saying hi to the captain.

Our last pics of our trip with the San Diego skyline behind us.

California Trip - Part 3

Our trip continues with a trip to the San Diego Zoo. I haven't been in probably 20 years! It was when the pandas first arrived. We couldn't ask for a more gorgeous day. We than headed downtown to the Gas Lamp District for some lunch and ice cream.
To be continued…

Make sure you look closely, the Mother Koala has a baby on her back.

The funny Meerkats

Jack loved watching them. He couldn't get enough!

Hanging out with Daddy

Gorgeous Jaguar prancing up and down the front of his exhibit. It was really cool. The mountain lion was walking around as well and came right up to his fence too.

Thank you, thank you very much! Trying out some fun stuff in the gift shop.

Saw the pandas - so cute!

Here we took the skytram from one end of the park to the other, Jack just LOVED it!

We were pretty high up too.

Smiles for the camera.

California Trip - Part 2

After a fun morning with my girlfriends we headed North for Santa Monica. Our very good friends Denny and Julianne were getting married that afternoon. The ceremony took place in the church they attend, gorgeous! The party than continued in Malibu at this gorgeous horse ranch up in the hills. We had a lot of fun with our friends and Jack did great. He cuddled with Daddy all night.
The next morning we got up and joined Allison for breakfast and walked down to the pier. It was a little overcast, but the temperature was just right! We had a great time with Allison. We than headed down South to visit Grandpa and Maria. To be continued…

Getting a bite to eat in the hotel room. I actually love his eyes in this picture.

After a shower with Daddy, I put him on our bed. Our room was gorgeous. We had an ocean front room with a king size bed. Perfect!

Congrats Denny and Julianne!

Here we are at the reception.

Cuddling with Daddy.

Smiles for the camera - here we are at the end of the Santa Monica Pier.

Below us was a spot for fishermen to fish - Jack was checking them out.

We finally made it down to Grandpa's and watched the Oscars with them. My girlfriend, Jessica gave me this shirt last year at my annual Oscar party. He looked so cute!!! Thanks again girl :)

We took so many pictures (600+) that I need to break this into 4 parts. We had a great time. Unfortunately Andrew wasn't able to join us because of school - we so wish he was there with us…missed him a lot.
It was great with Jack - I think he was in shocked most of the time. He definitely noticed the climate change and boy, did he love the ocean. He was definitely exhausted by the end of the trip. We were certainly busy bees!

Please enjoy the pics!

Jack looking out the window on his very first plane ride. Overall, he did okay!

Seeing the ocean for the first time.

Unfortunately the water was too cold to go in, but loved to watch the waves.

Can you see him pointing? His latest thing to do - point at everything! And he even uses the pointer finger.

Here is he feeling sand for the first time. Yep, he ate it!

We took him to Hotel Laguna (where mommy and daddy got married) and took a picture of him in front of the gazebo in the garden.

Visiting with Uncle Brian

My Mom's group got together for me while I was there. We had so much fun. Here we are trying to attempt a group shot of the kids - we weren't successful!

Jared came in and saved the day! Took a picture of all us!
It was so great to finally meet these girls. I have known them since the wedding planning days over 3 years ago.

more to come…
